Venue and Load Planning
Device weights, footprints and service points are mapped against your allocated hall before the layout is fixed, so platforms and plinths are engineered for the real load.
A practical guide from WHX stand builders to planning your stand for WHX Dubai 2027, formerly known as Arab Health, held at the Dubai Exhibition Centre in Expo City Dubai.
WHX Dubai 2027
WHX Dubai 2027 (formerly Arab Health) runs from 25 to 28 January 2027 at the Dubai Exhibition Centre in Expo City Dubai, organised by Informa Markets. It remains the largest healthcare exhibition in the region. For anyone building a stand, the venue matters more than the name. The Dubai Exhibition Centre has its own access times, rigging options and build-up schedule, and your hall allocation decides how each of these applies to your stand. A stand designed around those realities performs very differently from one designed around a render. That is why serious exhibitors at WHX invest in custom exhibition stands built for the space they are actually given.
That makes the gap between a stand designed for a venue and a stand designed for a render wider than usual this year. It is also why most exhibitors at this show end up with custom exhibition stands rather than a shell scheme upgrade.
WHX Dubai 2027 takes place from 25 to 28 January 2027 across the Dubai Exhibition Centre at Expo City Dubai and Dubai World Trade Centre.
Two venues, one show. Specialist content that used to run as separate events now sits inside the main floor plan as zones, including WHX Labs, the show formerly known as Medlab Middle East, which becomes a dedicated laboratory zone from this edition.
Consolidation is good news for visitors and harder work for exhibitors. Your neighbours may no longer be the companies you expect, your hall may not be the one you used last year, and the walk between venues changes how long a visitor will spend with you.
None of that is a reason to panic. It is a reason to fix the floor plan before anyone draws a concept.
This is not an audience that responds to a slogan on a wall.
Clinicians want to put their hands on the device. Hospital procurement wants service terms and lead times. Distributors want to know who already holds the territory. Ministry delegations move in groups, arrive without warning and need somewhere to sit.
A stand that performs here usually lets a visitor do five things without being intercepted first:
The last one decides more business than the graphics do. Distribution and tender conversations at this show are commercially sensitive, and an open bar table is the wrong place for them.
A healthcare stand has to satisfy the venue, the organiser and your own service engineers before it ever has to impress a visitor.
Device weights, footprints and service points are mapped against your allocated hall before the layout is fixed, so platforms and plinths are engineered for the real load.
Dedicated circuits, clean supply, drainage and extraction are ordered during design, because they cannot be added once the hall goes live.
Raised platforms, suspended signage and double-decker structures need calculations, drawings and organiser sign-off well ahead of build-up.
Benching, vitrines, storage and finishes are built and dry-assembled in the workshop, so fit and quality are checked before anything reaches the hall.
Your engineers need the stand ready early enough to install, test and calibrate before doors open, with a Levo contact on call through the show.
An imaging manufacturer, a consumables supplier and a national pavilion need three different stands.
One needs floor loading and a demonstration queue, one needs shelf space and sampling, one needs to host thirty companies under a single identity. Custom exhibition stands start from whichever of those describes your visit, not from a template.
Position equipment so clinicians can operate it with a specialist beside them, with circulation space that does not spill into the aisle.
Back-lit white surfaces, seamless joints and wipeable materials read as medical-grade and still look right in photographs on day four.
Instruments, consumables and single-use items need eye-level display and a surface where visitors can pick them up and compare.
Enclosed, acoustically sensible meeting space for the appointments that decide regional distribution and tender positions.
Where the footprint allows, an upper deck frees the whole ground floor for products, and a pavilion layout lets multiple exhibitors share one identity without losing their own.
Levo Exhibitions has built custom stands for healthcare, medical device, diagnostics and aesthetics brands exhibiting in Dubai.
That work includes stands for KMed, FotoFinder, Dermaqual, Filmed and Al Fahim, across ranges that run from imaging systems to clinical skincare, alongside stands for Gulf Medical University and Medway.
Levo Exhibitions has also delivered national pavilions for Poland, Belarus, the Czech Republic and Malaysia, which is the same discipline a country pavilion at this show demands: many exhibitors, one identity, one build programme.

A split-venue edition leaves very little room for handovers between suppliers. Among premium stand builders in Dubai, the useful test is whether the team that engineers the platform is also the team that builds it and meets your engineers on site.
Levo Exhibitions keeps design, engineering and fabrication under one roof, which is what lets a hall change on Monday reach the drawing on Tuesday.
Start as soon as your stand number and hall are confirmed, and earlier if heavy equipment is involved.
Venue services such as dedicated power, water and drainage close on the organiser deadlines, which fall well before build-up. Missing them is the most common reason a stand cannot run the demonstration it was designed around.
Structural approval for raised platforms and double-decker stands also takes time, and with two venues operating in parallel that queue is unlikely to get shorter. Six months is comfortable for custom exhibition stands at this scale. Three is tight.
Parts of it, usually. Graphics, vitrines, furniture and storage often carry over if they are in good condition.
The structure is the part to check, and this year more than most. A stand designed for one venue should be reviewed against your new allocation before it is rebuilt, because ceiling heights, rigging points and access routes are not the same across both sites. Artwork carrying the old show name will also need updating.

Yes. Arab Health was renamed WHX Dubai as part of the World Health Expo portfolio. It is the same healthcare exhibition under a new name, in the same January slot.
Your stand size, stand number and which of the two venues you have been allocated, plus a list of the equipment going on the stand with weights and power requirements. Those details decide the platform engineering and the venue services order.
